Brandywine Manor House Inn Wedding : An Intentional Wedding with Ally & CJ

A dreamy and intention filled wedding day at Brandywine Manor House in Brandywine Township, PA.

I talk a lot about intention and its importance within a wedding, but so rarely does a day truly embody that principle.

Intentional means done with purpose; deliberate. An intentional wedding SIGNIFIEs nothing is done without the surety of it’s meaning.

I think what made Ally & CJ’s day FEEL different, was the thought and intent they put into the true MEANING of their day. Having attended so many weddings throughout the years, they were sure of what they did and didn’t want. They were very conscious of how they could and couldn’t celebrate. What they DIDN’T want was the hot mess of having to worry about 12 page long shot lists with everyone they’ve met since they were 4. What they DID want, was time to actually enjoy the events of their wedding with the people that meant the most to them. I was struck by the fact that Ally spoke to me through tears about how much she valued her grandparents’ relationships, and how important it was to have a photo with all of them together. She wanted a few brief minutes to soak in every family member that had brought special joy to her life, and only wanted one or two quick bridal party shots to say “these are my people!” and let that be that. I loved it. I loved that the entire day felt like it was laced with only the good things, and none of the fluff and frills that make a wedding day feel more like a production than a celebration.

Prioritizing their reception photos, Ally & CJ made it clear that this was the most important part of the day for them. They wanted to have fun, to dance and sing, and create memories. Having photos that reflected that feeling and vibe was so important, and we made extra efforts to creatively tell the story of the mood and vibe of the night. The energy was SO infectious, that we danced and laughed right alongside them. I loved every single second of it, and I especially love couples who give us the freedom to truly be a part of their wedding day memories.

Brandywine manor house provided the perfect backdrop for a LAID-BACK wedding day.

If you want it to be simple, you still need it to be organized. We felt like this was one of the “easiest” days of the year, simply because everything ran SO smoothly. A testament to CJ & Ally’s easygoing personalities, it’s also a true reflection of their vendor team working seamlessly and tirelessly behind the scenes. I appreciated how often the venue checked in on us and how effortlessly they served our bride and groom. A stress-free couple makes our lives THAT much easier, and I feel like that peacefulness and joy is absolutely showcased throughout their gallery.

I hope you enjoy taking a peek into Ally & CJ’s wedding day and note what it means to truly live with intention. It creates an atmosphere on your wedding day that is unmatched in creative freedom, and I know you’ll know it when you feel it. We absolutely did.
