In all seriousness, this mama is a dream to create with. We met just last year during my motherhood mini session event and I feel like every time I’ve seen the two since it’s been an IMMENSE joy. Katelyn is a salon owner and power packaged business woman, and has the most gentle and kind way about her. And Arlow. Arlow!!! The happiest little bean. So wise beyond her mere (nearly) two years and so freaking sweet. I was so excited to have the chance to celebrate their expanding family with a sleek and modern maternity session in the studio. Katelyn trusted me implicitly (love) and allowed me to do whatever I wanted with the style and vibe. We came up with a simplistic jeans inspired look that translated so beautifully against a few different backdrops in the studio. I’ve been loving the freedom I’ve had to explore the studio in such an uninhibited way and create magic against the simplest of backgrounds. It truly allows connection to be the star and speaks to the inherent beauty of baring it all - both literally and figuratively.

I live for the moments of excess and extra-ness but feel SO at home with minimalism and light. I think it’s such a good balance to be able to create and appreciate both and I hope this session inspires you to think outside the box a bit and ask yourself what makes a moment stand out. Sometimes the answer is as simple as a blank wall and a deep embrace. Just go with it.
